Created in 2005, Hungry Arts is a creative arts company that works with regional, national and international artists, and its partner organisations, to build dynamic new and lasting bridges between diverse communities.
It produces cross-border, multi-discipline, arts festivals that provoke new conversations, international collaborations, and artistic commissions.
The festivals themselves provide the perfect space for celebrating creativity and building new relationships in a stimulating and welcoming environment. They enable people, young and old, from all communities, to participate in an exciting range of creative activities: whether that involves learning to Polka on Southend-on-Sea Pier in Essex, to play Flamenco guitar in the Edinburgh Mela, to paint a Gypsy wagon in rural Suffolk, or simply, to sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
Hungry Arts is a not-for-profit company which receives funding on a project basis.
